Only an optician can dispense, and more
Only a designated optician can dispense, and Lume records who checked it. Orders also gain a Confirmed stage, and discounts can be a dollar or a percentage.
Who checked and dispensed the order
You can now mark a team member as an optician and record their governing body and licence number. Only opticians can dispense an order, and Lume asks which one checked it before the order can be handed over. Each dispense records who did it. That is worth having when your college asks who released a job.
A new step between a quote and the lab
Orders now have a Confirmed stage that sits between Quote and Sent to Lab. Taking a first payment moves an order to Confirmed on its own, and it stays fully editable there. Your order list now reflects what a customer has actually committed to, not just what you have quoted.
Discounts by dollar amount or percentage
A discount on a quote or order can now be a flat dollar amount or a percentage, whichever suits the deal. Choose one from the discount box on the order and it applies across the whole invoice.
A clearer invoice
The invoice header has been redrawn: a larger practice logo, with your business name and address beneath it, and the invoice number and date set off to the side. New orders also start at your default location from Settings, so you are not re-picking it each time.
Send a job back to the lab
When an order comes back and fails verification, you can now send it back to Sent to Lab and record why. The reason stays with the order, so whoever picks it up next knows what happened.
Swap a frame without starting over
Changed the frame after building an order? Swap it on the line and keep the prescription, lenses, tint and add-ons exactly as they were. The measurements update to the new frame; nothing else moves.
More on the customer profile
Customer profiles now hold a second phone number and a preferred way to be reached: call, text or email. You can also attach documents to a profile, such as insurance cards, referrals, or anything else worth keeping with the customer.
Prescriptions
A prescription can be marked neutralized when it was read from an existing pair rather than written by an optometrist. When a prescription carries an ADD, you can choose whether to pull distance, readers or bifocal into the order. And out-of-range values are now caught as you type, so an obvious slip like a cylinder of 150 cannot make it onto a job.
